Short version: this is a place where students, teachers and guardians talk, and some of them are minors. We collect the least we can, keep it in India, never advertise to anyone here, and never let a child be ranked into shame. The longer version below says exactly what that means.

01  What we collect

Your posts and replies, the rooms you join, and the basic account detail needed to keep the gates honest — a teacher gate means we hold a teacher attestation, for instance. We do not need your contacts, your location, or your social accounts to run a room.

02  Anonymity, and its limits

You can ask and answer under a pen name, and in the staffroom you can post anonymously with identifying detail stripped first. Anonymity is for protecting a person, not for escaping conduct — a pen name is still bound by the manners of the room.

03  Minors, gains and losses

For a minor, reputation gains are shown and reputation losses are kept private. A child is never put on a public ranking, and a child's mistake is never displayed for a room to pile onto.

04  Recycling needs consent

When an answer is considered for study material, the writer is asked, and credit travels with the work. Your contribution is not quietly mined; consent and credit are the rule, not a favour.

05  Where it lives, and leaving

Data is held in India. You can take your contributions with you, and you can delete your account for real. Public answers that have helped others may be kept under your pen name or anonymised, your choice, so the room a thread served does not lose its memory.
