Plain-language terms & conduct code · 2026-06-18
These terms are written to be read. The heart of them is one idea: this is a room with manners, and the manners are the point.
01 The conduct code
Answer to help, not to win. No pile-ons, no contempt, no naming a school to shame it. Show your working on a graded school question rather than handing over a final figure. A pen name does not exempt you from any of this.
02 What we provide
Four moderated rooms, a place to ask and answer, and permalinks meant to last. It is a discussion space, not a substitute for a teacher, a doctor, or a lawyer — guidance here is guidance, not a professional ruling.
03 Reputation and credit
Reputation here recognises useful contribution; it is never money and cannot be bought or cashed out. When your answer becomes study material, you are credited, and you can decline. Your work stays yours.
04 Moderation and appeal
We nudge before we act, and when we do act there is a reason and a way to appeal it. We publish a transparency report on how moderation is going. If a thread touches real distress, it reaches a person — never an automated voice standing in the way.
